Jimmy is an accomplished and highly professional individual with extensive experience in various fields of accountancy. He has a strong passion for business start-ups, business analysis, and due diligence on joint ventures, business share investments, and partnerships.

With a wealth of expertise, Jimmy offers invaluable assistance to businesses during their start-up phase and provides ongoing support in accounting matters.

His exceptional skills in mergers/acquisitions, overall business and market analysis, and industry-specific insights have benefitted multi-million rand/dollar companies across several countries, including China, Mauritius, Malaysia, Ireland, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Dubai, and the UK.

As aProfessional Accountant, Jimmy specializes in tax accounting and is highly proficient in financial reporting, audit reporting, fraud detection and prevention, and designing efficient quality control procedures.

With his extensive software expertise, including certifications as a Xero Certified Advisor, proficiency in Omni accounts, Pastel/SAGE, System 36 and AS 400, MBA Software, Unix, LAN and WAN networks, and Novel Windows/MS Office, Jimmy is adept at utilizing advanced tools to enhance accounting processes and optimize financial management.

Throughout his career, Jimmy has demonstrated remarkable abilities as a Senior Partner at his own practice before joining MRM Financial Counsel Inc, where he conducts in-depth analyses, assists businesses with start-up processes, meets client requirements, and provides comprehensive advice on accounting, auditing, and taxation. He excels in researching financial products and maintaining effective communication with financial services providers.

Prior to his role as Senior Partner of his own practice for 26 years, Jimmy served as a Group Accountant at Inmins SA (PTY) Ltd, where he successfully managed administrative staff, maintained a secure work environment, and achieved exceptional results through effective leadership and coordination.

Jimmy is a member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) and the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners (SA) (SAIT), reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and continuous development.

Jimmy has been married to Gail for 32 years, his son Leith is a CA (SA) and an Olympian (swimming) and his daughter Courtney is a SA Qualified and admitted Attorney in South Africa and is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales. Both his children now live and work in the UK.

Apart from his work commitments, Jimmy enjoys playing golf, cycling and hockey where he has competed in multiple Masters World Cup tournaments for South Africa around the globe.
